BIOGRAPHY (from Avatar Press' website)
A 1996 Sequential Art Graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, Jacen Burrows has become known for his unique style of intricate linework which reflects a blend of American, Japanese, and European influences.
Jacen entered comics professionally as Scott Clark's background assistant on a number of Wildstorm projects, and subsequently worked on indie projects such as King Zombie for Caliber and Skid Roze for London Night Studios. Jacen has also worked in the RPG industry on properties such as Star Wars and Dungeons and Dragons and the video game industry on the properties Quake III, Oni and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
His best known projects have been for the Warren Ellis Avatar projects: Apparat:Simon Spector, Scars, Bad World, Bad Signal/From the Desk Of Warren Ellis, and Dark Blue as well as covers for the popular Black Gas series.
He has also worked with Alan Moore on his series The Courtyard and Yuggoth Cultures with Antony Johnston as well as illustrating Alan Moore's Writing For Comics.
Jacen has also worked on comics related to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for New Line, Escape of the Living Dead and Night of the Living Dead for Avatar and George A. Romero and John Russo.
He recently completed 303 with Garth Ennis and is hard at work on the another six issue series with Garth called the Chronicles of Wormwood due this Fall.
